A Life Changing Life

For some individuals, your life and mine are the only sermons they will hear or see.

1 Peter 2:12 Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Romans 6:4: Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Not every Christian understands that he has eternal life in him already and not every Christian knows how to live accordingly. Sadly, Christians are not always willing to have their physical lives changed by the spiritual life that is in them. They don*t know that the greatest joy comes to them when they walk in that blessed newness of life.

Galatians 2:20: I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Jesus is the source of the life-changing life and He wants those who possess it to share it with others. He wants their lives to become life-changing lives. Jesus gives Christians THE life-changing life and wants to give them A life-changing life. Are you living a life-changing life?

John 7:38: He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Spurgeon on Romans 14:8: We live unto the Lord. If God had willed it, each of us might have entered heaven at the moment of conversion. It was not absolutely necessary for our preparation for immortality that we should tarry here. It is possible for a man to be taken to heaven, and to be found meet to be a partaker of the inheritance of the saints in light, though he has but just believed in Jesus. It is true that our sanctification is a long and continued process, and we shall not be perfected till we lay aside our bodies and enter within the veil; but nevertheless, had the Lord so willed it, He might have changed us from imperfection to perfection, and have taken us to heaven at once. Why then are we here? Would God keep His children out of paradise a single moment longer than was necessary? Why is the army of the living God still on the battle-field when one charge might give them the victory? Why are His children still wandering hither and thither through a maze, when a solitary word from His lips would bring them into the centre of their hopes in heaven? The answer is-they are here that they may *live unto the Lord,* and may bring others to know His love. We remain on earth as sowers to scatter good seed; as ploughmen to break up the fallow ground; as heralds publishing salvation. We are here as the *salt of the earth,* to be a blessing to the world. We are here to glorify Christ in our daily life. We are here as workers for Him, and as *workers together with Him.*
